I'm very excited and humbled to have been nominated for two major awards this year.

First, I'm a finalist for the Freedman Jazz Fellowship.  The Freedman is a highly prestigious fellowship, which is selected from 16 peer-nominated artists.  When you are nominated, you then submit your music and a project proposal for how you would use the Fellowship (worth $20,000).  To nominated in the first place is a great honour, and to be selected as a finalist (top 3) is hugely exciting!

Second, I'm also a finalist for the Young Australian Jazz Artist of the Year award, which is part of the annual Jazz Bell awards.  Again, finalist is top 3, so it's very exciting to be considered for this award.
